The Little Flower English Medium High School was founded in 2003 by Mr. Lawrence Saldanha as a part of the “Glarida Education Trust” with the aim of providing sound education to poor rural children. Unfortunately Mr. Lawrence could not run the institution as he went to work abroad and so he took the reasonable decision to donate the Little Flower School to the the Seon Ashram Trust (R) in 2009. The School is located in India in the State of Karnataka near Udupi in Karkala Taluk at the foot of the Western Ghats.

At present  school strength is 310 children, including 87 destitute children. In this some are having rehabilitating mothers in the Seon Ashram near Gandibagilu ,  some are from street, some are having single patent and can not afford education for their children and some are from disaster area where the flood happened on last year (Bagalkote, North Karnataka) are taught at Little Flower school. At present education from the lower Kindergarten up to the 9th standard is offered.

Education is the key for every child to achieve a better future and become self-reliant on a financial and mental level. But many children are denied this chance, because their parents cannot afford to send their children to school and in the worst case the parents just drop their children making them orphans – for all these children Little Flower School means free education as well as a shelter.

Having education these children have the chance to get a decent job and even access to higher education such as pre-university colleges.

But we need your support to offer these opportunities to the children, because we are a non-governmental organization without any constant source of income and without government support. If you follow the link “Help us” us in the navigation list, you can take a look at several examples which difference your effort can make.
